Truly Random thoughts

This holiday season should be a good one for finding sales since so many businesses like Circuit City are failing. One good thing about a store closing is those people who are not qualified for any other job will get a chance to work again as they stand on the street corner holding up the "Liquidation Sale" signs. Their parents must be so proud to know that they have the basic skill set of two feet of stick shoved into the ground.

The cable company is feeling our pain by dropping the rates of their basic services to $30 per month, and not an introductory offer that will double in three months. Maybe if they were charging these more reasonable rates in the first place, more people would be using their service and they wouldn't need to drastically reduce prices to make a sale. And this goes for every other business out there. I think a big part of the reason for our financial situation is the greed at the top of the ladder.

But at least I found something I like about the Christmas season, Victoria's Secret has a new line of Wonder Bras. They must not need to sell them as bad and the auto makers need to sell cars though since I see the annoying Ford Truck and "Saved By Zero" ads every commercial break (thank goodness for TiVo) but not the the bra ads (dang TiVo).
