Another witty response

At thirteen, my youngest boy has already had more "girlfriends" than I have had in my entire life. Girlfriend doesn't seem to mean much more than the girl I talk to most and hang out with at the football games but each one is the new love of his life until a new one comes along next week.

I thought the boy might be a ladies man or Mr. Popular but no, I think it's something else. The teenage crack that calls itself Instant Messenger could be the reason he goes through so many girls. Ask any woman what she likes in a man and you will most often hear "He makes me laugh." When you spend all of your time talking to a person on IM, it's easy to come up with a witty response because you have time to think of one. Then you get together and hang out with that person and the conversation doesn't come so easy.

Not to say that the boy has no personality, he's very clever, smart, funny. Just a good kid (most of the time) but face-to-face conversation is much different than typing sentences back and froth through a computer. I don't think I need to worry about the revolving door of relationships with him yet. He mentioned his new girlfriend last night and I said "You finally found the love of your life?" to which he repsonded, as usual "Shut Up."

Another witty response.
