What is it about kids that makes them think that staying healthy and warm in the winter weather is so uncool. Both of mine have nice coats but as the weather gets cold, much like today, it's still a battle to get them to wear them.
They'll wait until the temperature gets down to the 20's before they drop the hoodie and go for a warmer coat, the smaller boy just started wearing a hat but only because he found one that is "cool" enough. The elder boy hasn't been much of a problem since he got his varsity jacket, that one is plenty cool to wear.
Today the warm coat went on the small boy, but it didn't get zipped up. I guess he's still rebelling against the cold weather establishment. The only time gloves will be worn will be if there is snow on the ground, can't pick that up without gloves. They'll catch up as it gets colder, I prefer warmth and comfort to being "cool" but then again, I'm an old man, what do I know about cool!
