We've all seen the lady with such severe childhood "lack of attention" issues that she just added another eight babies to her already large brood of six but my question is: Why do we have to pay for their food? It was announced yesterday that she will be receiving food stamps to help cover her costs.
I'm not opposed to someone going on food stamps when they have fallen on hard times or had an "accident" (not that making babies is an accident, it can easily be avoided.) But when you go to the doctor and have them implant eight fertilized embryos into your well used uterus, you should already have the means to support whatever comes back out. The doctor should never have allowed this to happen in the first place, his malpractice insurance should have to cover those babies until they get out of college, or at least seven of them.
Being the last of six children myself I'm OK with large families, otherwise I wouldn't be here to complain. And yes, there were times when we shopped with food stamps but not because Mom decided that we needed eight more kids in the house in one day. Besides, we already had two sets of bunk beds in one room, we couldn't have gotten any more kids in that house. There would have been more than one of us living up in the bong smelling attic.
I'm sorry, but this lady asked for it and should have to fend for herself. Let the camera crews follow her around and make a TV show for Lifetime. She can use that money to cover the $100,000 per baby cost that the hospital is charging, not my tax money.
