Let it snow

As you've probably guessed, I'm not a big fan of the news. I hate to watch it because they rarely report on anything good and I usually disagree with what they have to say anyway. This morning was no exception. I live in Illinois and in the winter I expect it to snow. On Saturday the news started reporting on the huge snowstorm that was coming our way on Tuesday, 8-12 inches. Start stocking up on bread and milk it's going to be huge.

After spending the entire weekend pulling us in reporting on our impending doom, they changed their minds this morning. Now we are supposed to get rain and sleet tonight and maybe 1-2 inches of snow tomorrow. The weatherman was expressing his extreme relieve that we are to be spared from this mighty storm that, in reality they were wishing for. Why else would the get to put their cameras on a bridge to show us that it's snowing and traffic is bad. I would love to have a job where I can be wrong 100% of the time and still get paid and if this were two days before Christmas and the ground was untouched by snow they would be begging for the snow to come.

They always report the stories in a way that the think we want to hear so it will help their ratings and I'm sure I feel this way just because I disagree with them. I would love to have more snow. I like to get out there with the snow blower and move the stuff around, cutting those nice lines along the edge of the driveway. So I don't think we were spared a snowstorm, I think it was cruelly taken away. Bring it on, it is winter after all and we live in a state where is is supposed to snow. Get over it.
