I had to call technical support for my internet provider last week and what a surprise, I got to talk to Hank in India. I assume he was in India because he didn't sound like any Hank I have ever talked to before. Do they think that using an American name is fooling us?
I had to call several times because the instructions that were included in my modem upgrade did not match what was happening and the tech support team didn't offer any suggestions for what I might run into next. So even though companies are saving money outsourcing ,the help they give is less than stellar.
The music however is wonderful. They only had one song to play since I heard it every time I called and it kept repeating as I was put on hold. If you've never heard it before it's worth calling technical support just to hear the Indian version of La Isla Bonita. The sitar and Indian accented singer really make the song sound exotic. I've got to find it for my ipod.
